About Us
D. Candis Paule, CSA, Casting Director
Originally from New York City, D. Candis Paule, CSA was the casting director for Stu Segall Productions where she cast Terriers (F/X), The Ex List (CBS), and Veronica Mars (CW). Along with many telenovellas for Fox’s My Network, she helped cast a variety of pilots and features including Flying By, starring Billy Ray Cyrus and Heather Locklear. As an independent casting director and owner of Candis Casting, she worked Pitch (Fox) and several independent features and shorts. Candis has worked on many SAG-AFTRA projects, and hundreds of union and non-union commercials, industrials, immersive projects and print campaigns. In addition to voice-over work and private coaching, she teaches through her education company Actors For Reel and has been seen throughout the country as an award-winning actor.
Daren M. Scott, Casting Associate
Daren M. Scott has been with Candis Casting for nearly a decade. He has up-to-date knowledge of EcoCast, Casting Networks, Breakdown Services, and his photos have been published in The New York Times. His extensive knowledge as a professional photographer enables Candis Casting to provide every aspect of the on-camera audition process to their clients. Daren is also an accomplished actor and works well with all who walk into the casting room.

Workshops
Ms. Paule serves as a guest lecturer for drama/film classes at the college and university levels. She can travel for in-person master classes or utilize video conferencing platforms for distance learning.

Please note: Enrollment and participation in a workshop is not, nor will ever be, a guarantee that you will be cast in a Candis Casting project. This is a class designed to educate you and enhance your on-camera auditioning skills.
Talent
Candis Casting works with talent of all ages, races, genders, and ethnicities from throughout the Southwest. To be a part of our database, please send an ~300kb headshot (jpg) along with a resume (pdf) to cctalentsubmission at gmail dot com - links are not accepted. In the body of your email, include your cell phone number and what city you live in. Don't have a resume? Please find an example and create one. Submissions of just a headshot will not be considered as they must also have a resume.

Coaching
If you are beginning your journey in the career of an actor, if your child is interested in the business and you need to learn more, or if you have an important audition and need some coaching/guidance, we can coach you and fill in the gaps. Please know that we will never coach a talent who is auditioning for one of the projects we are casting. We can coach on-stage projects and on-camera projects - with tips and insights that will take your audition to the next level!

Intimacy
All talent in every project deserves to feel comfortable and protected on a stage or film set. As a consent forward artist, D. Candis Paule has extensive training as an intimacy director (stage) and intimacy coordinator (film). Courses completed range from basic knowledge to specific training in BDSM/Kink.
The role of an Intimacy Coordinator is not to suppress but to serve as an additional resource in realizing the director's vision. In essence, the Intimacy Coordinator facilitates an environment in which actors understand what is expected of them in hyper-exposed scenes and ensures there is informed consent.
